MBA Business Research subject contains four modules within the time period of 30 hours. The four modules are Business Research Basics that deals with identificiation of research problem, objective and hypothesis, formulation of research questions, and types of business research. The second module is Methods of data collection and analysis that will explore the study of Research tools, Sampling methods, design and procedure, and probability. The third module will discuss the Data Analysis and Interpretations, uses of frequency distribution, cros tabulation and hypothesis testing, descritive statistics and sample size estimation. The last module will explores th structure of research report and Purpose and types of research report. At the end of the subject the MBA student will submit his research proposal chapter 1- 3.
Module – I: Business Research Basics
This module will explore the Nature and scope of Business Research; Identification of Research Problem; Statement of Research Objective & Hypothesis; Formulation Research Question; Types of Business Research and Process; Research Designs – Exploratory, Descriptive, Experimental, Observational Studies & Survey.
Module – II: Methods of Data Collection and Data Analysis
This module covers the Research Tools – Questionnaire, Check List, Interview Schedule; Measurement & Scaling – Attitude Measurement, Sampling Methods – Probabilistic & NonProbabilistic Sampling, Sample Design & Procedures- Sample size Estimation,etc.
Module – III: Data Analysis
This module will discuss Data Analysis and Interpretations: Frequency Distribution, Cross Tabulation and Hypothesis Testing, Descriptive Statistics, Univariate (‘t’ & ‘z’), Bivariate (Annova, Chi-square), multiple regression, Factor analysis, Multi-Dimensional Scaling.
Module – IV: Research Documentation
This module will explore the Purpose (Research Application) and Types of Research Report; Structure of Research Report; Report Writing, Use of Tables and Figures.
